Fitting Exercise Into Your Daily Routine For REAL

Meditation

Working exercise into your daily routine is time saving and energy boosting. There’s no better way to burn extra calories and if you don’t have time to formally stop everything you’re doing and exercise, it’s essential. I can list several tips and suggest you follow them, but to fit exercise in effectively, you have to evaluate your daily routine and come up with a plan especially catered to your schedule and surroundings.

For example, you work a full-time day job. You wake up and don’t have much time for anything besides getting to work. Directly after work might entail dating, time with friends, kids, or those last minute happy hours. You may do some formal exercising once or twice a week, but would like to get in more.

1. Consider where you live. Can you bike to work, train or light rail once or twice a week?

2. Can you actually take the stairs? If it’s feasible, do it. If you work in a high rise with key coded entries, even taking several floors may not be an option. so…

3. Are you able to take a full lunch break? If you are and are within walking distance, walk to lunch. If not, go for a half hour walk and eat for half. It doesn’t have to be every day, even 2 is good.

4. Do it before bed. If you’e burnt out from work, it doesn’t take much thought to go out for a jog or do some yoga

There are too many scenarios to try to list. You may be extremely busy with work and work through your lunch break. You may work from home and have trouble motivating yourself to get out. You may be a full time mom and barely have time to do anything other than shower. You have to assess your lifestyle and what you can fit in for yourself. Walk or bike somewhere instead of drive once or twice a week. Throw the kids in the stroller or get a co-worker to go with you. Take a jog after the kids go to bed once a week. You don’t have to stick to a strict schedule or think of it as a drastic lifestyle change. Just think about how you can fit it in each day, even if it’s just 15 minutes at a time…even if you’re walking to happy hour from the office :)

Last but not least, one of the easiest forms of exercise to fit in is yoga. It can be done anywhere with enough floor space (about the size of a yoga mat) and weather is not an issue. It tones muscle and can be used to awaken the body in the morning or relax at night. If you’re new to yoga, take a couple classes or start out with some introductory videos. It’s quick and easy to learn to do some routines on your own.

How To Quickly Loose Weight With Yoga

118151_4922

There are lots of motives for doing yoga. Clarity of mind, a feeling of oneness, relaxing with your personal time, and transforming your body to name a few. Most may think of yoga as just doing stretches, but it is so much more than that! If you’re a bit overweight and looking to get rid of those extra pounds, yoga might be your best one-way ticket to a healthy mind and body. Here are 5 reasons why you should do yoga:

1. If you feel unmotivated, like myself, by going to class you’ve committed yourself to see it though! Classes are generally 1 – 1 1/2 hours long and you even have the choice of leaving, but why would you waist the money? When you exercise on your own, you can stop at anytime, and not having the choice can help. As always you should be safe and take breaks when needed, but when you’re around a bunch of others who are in it with you is great motivation to keep going.

2. You’re working your muscles and cardiovascular system at the same time. No need to sweat it out on the treadmill, then painstakingly grunt your way through reps of weights. You get it all in one workout. The more muscle you build, the more calories you burn at rest.

3. The stretching also elongates your muscles, which, no joke, contributes to a leaner physique. Once you’ve done yoga for a while you can feel the difference in your posture. You seriously will “feel” taller once you get the hang of stretching your spine.

4. Get the most bang for the buck with yoga…that’s right, you’ll see faster results from less workouts. If you try it 2-3 times a week for a month, you’ll not only loose a bunch of weight, but you’ll discover all sorts of benefits you never though possible.

5. Finally, you need to watch what you eat. If you go home after yoga and eat half a pizza, you’re not doing your mind or your body much good. Giving up your favorite unhealthy foods can be a tough challenge, but yoga can help you with this. Part of the package is uniting both the mind and the body. By setting your intentions before, during, and after your workout, your body will actually crave foods that are good for it.

Looking for a few tips to get started? For starters you should look into getting yoga mats with designs or thick rubber yoga mat. Also look for free classes in your area…as sometimes you can find them at your local YMCA.
